Terms of Use
Rules governing the use of the BlaBLaTeX service.
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) set out the conditions for accessing and using the “BlaBLaTeX” service (the “Service”). Any use of the Service implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms.
1. Purpose
BlaBLaTeX is an online service dedicated to writing and compiling LaTeX projects, including hosting, version management and collaboration features.
2. Acceptance
Access to the website or use of the Service constitutes acceptance of these Terms without reservation. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the Service.
3. Access and availability
The Service is available online, subject to maintenance operations, updates or technical incidents. BlaBLaTeX uses reasonable means to ensure the availability and security of the Service, without guaranteeing uninterrupted access or the absence of anomalies.
4. Account and security
Access to certain features requires creating an account. The User undertakes to provide accurate and up-to-date information. The User is responsible for keeping their credentials confidential and for actions performed through their account.
In the event of unauthorized or suspected use, the User must change their credentials without delay.
5. Subscription and payment
Certain features may be offered through a subscription, under the pricing conditions displayed on the website. Payments are processed by a third-party provider. Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, any started subscription period remains due for the current period.
6. Term, suspension and termination
These Terms apply for the entire duration of use of the Service. In the event of a breach of these Terms, a security issue or illegal activity, BlaBLaTeX may suspend or restrict access to the Service.
7. Acceptable use
The User undertakes to use the Service in accordance with its purpose, namely writing, compiling and collaborating on LaTeX projects. The User undertakes to comply with applicable laws and third-party rights.
The Service must not be used for illegal or malicious purposes, nor in any way likely to compromise the security, stability or availability of the infrastructure. It is not intended to be a general-purpose storage, archiving or backup solution independent of a use connected to a LaTeX project.
Certain features may automatically generate content during compilation. The User undertakes to use such features reasonably.
Proper operation of the Service relies on responsible use by everyone. In the event of clearly abusive or non-compliant use, BlaBLaTeX may apply appropriate technical measures, including limiting or suspending access.
8. Intellectual property
Elements of the website and the Service (interfaces, software, graphics, trademarks) are protected by intellectual property laws.
Content and projects created by the User remain the User’s property. The User grants BlaBLaTeX the rights strictly necessary for hosting, compiling and technically providing the Service.
9. Personal data
The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Contact and support
For any question regarding the general operation of the Service or subscriptions, the User may use the contact form.
BlaBLaTeX provides the Service online but does not provide personalized technical support, specific advice or individualized assistance.
11. Warranties and liability
The Service is provided “as is”. BlaBLaTeX does not guarantee the absence of errors, suitability for specific needs, or continuous availability of the Service.
The User remains responsible for preserving their content and is encouraged to perform regular backups.
BlaBLaTeX shall not be liable for indirect damages, data loss or harm resulting from use of the Service.
12. Maintenance and updates
Maintenance operations or technical changes may be carried out to improve or secure the Service.
13. Security
BlaBLaTeX implements technical measures appropriate to the nature of the Service. The User is responsible for the security of their access and equipment.
14. Force majeure
BlaBLaTeX shall not be liable for any failure resulting from a force majeure event within the meaning of applicable law.
15. External links
The website may contain links to third-party resources. BlaBLaTeX has no control over such content and disclaims any responsibility for it.
16. Changes to the Terms
BlaBLaTeX may modify these Terms at any time. The version in force is the one published online at the time of consultation.
17. Applicable law
These Terms are governed by French law, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions where applicable.
18. Contact
Any request relating to these Terms may be sent via the contact form.
